. . .
DIANNE WIDOM was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. She began drawing at age three, and never stopped.
AFTER MOVING TO ALASKA in 1977, her paintings focused primarily on the Alaskan people, landscapes, and architecture. Dianne was always drawn to the rich sepia tones of old photos, so when she happened upon octopus ink while living in Seldovia, Alaska, she knew it was the perfect medium for much of her work.
SHE ALSO PAINTS extensively in watercolor and acrylic, and has developed many techniques over the years which are very unique and truly her own. Dianne and her husband Ivan moved to Cañon City, Colorado in 2003, where they own and operate the Widom Art Gallery.
